George County, MS – Sheriff Dean Howell says on Saturday, March 16 at approximately 7:00 pm, sheriff’s Deputy Larry Havard, acting on an anonymous tip that a suspect wanted in George and Greene counties was staying at a residence on Bertie Road in the Twin Creeks Community of George County. The suspect, Neil Dean Havard, 37 , was wanted for Failure to Appear x 6 with outstanding fines totaling $2,410 in George County and warrants for Failure to Appear in Greene County for speeding, no driver’s license, and no vehicle insurance. Those fines total approximately $1,100.
Deputies Larry Havard and Eric Reilly proceeded to the residence and positioned themselves at front and rear entrances to the residence. Havard was taken in without incident from the residence on Bertie Road and transported to George County Regional Jail where he awaits initial court appearance and transfer to Greene County to answer those charges.
Havard’s previous run ins with the law include arrests for simple assault, trespassing, disorderly conduct and stalking in George County.
