George County, MS – Sheriff Dean Howell says a routine traffic stop on Wednesday, March 13, at about 2:00 pm by an agent from the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and narcotics agents from George County Sheriff’s Office resulted in the arrest of a male,  Hillary Shane Bryan, 36 of George County.

 

The traffic stop was conducted on Highway 98 East near  the Alabama state line. Bryan was arrested and charged with possession of crack cocaine and a seatbelt violation. He is currently in George County Regional Jail awaiting his initial court appearance which is scheduled for Friday, March 15.

 

During a second investigation on Wednesday at approximately 3:00 p.m.,  a male, Jacob T. Blackston, age    , also of George County was arrested. As agents attempted contact with suspect Blackston he broke and ran but agents were able to catch him. He was arrested and charged with resisting arrest by fleeing and felony possession of crack cocaine. Seized in the arrest was approximately $800 in cash.

 

Blackston was transported to George County Regional Jail where he remains awaiting his initial court appearance which is expected to be Friday, March 15, 2013.
