George County, MS – Sheriff Dean Howell says on Friday August 17, 2012 at approximately 2:00 pm, a call to the sheriff’s office from a business located 2269 Highway 63 South in George County, saying that a man was acting suspiciously on the premises.
The man, according to store employees, was in the bathroom and had been in their about 30 minutes when the call was made. As Sgt Pat Dueitt, and Deputy Shaun Jodon arrived the man had made his way to his vehicle and was sitting in it. As officers approached the vehicle, and with a consent to search being given to the narcotics agents that had arrived, they turned up several precursors and an active meth lab in the vehicle, a 2000 model Yukon Denali. The vehicle was seized along with several hundred dollars in cash.
Forrest Wayne Murray, age 20, of 118 Ed Evans Road was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine and manufacturing methamphetamine. He was also charged with possession of paraphernalia as well as possession of spice.
Murray remains in George County Regional Jail. His commercial bond was set at $25,000.00.
