Drug Arrest
August 05, 2011
On Friday, August 05, 2011, deputies with the George County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop on Main Street in the City of Lucedale. As deputies were approaching the vehicle, it fled. As deputies gave chase, the driver threw what appeared to be a meth lab from the window. After a short chase, the vehicle pulled over near the Hwy 63 overpass on Hwy 198. A search of the vehicle revealed meth lab materials that had spilled as the lab was being thrown from the vehicle. The driver, Bradford Heath Mcleod (35) and passenger Brittney Johnson (22), both of George County were arrested for manufacturing methamphetamine. Both Mcleod and Johnson appeared before Justice Court Judge M.L. Goff, where Mcleod received a $100,000.00 commercial bond and Johnson received a $50,000.00 commercial bond. At this time Judge M.L. Goff revoked both subjects prior bond for manufacturing methamphetamine.
Authorized for release by Sheriff John A. Keel
