ILLEGAL GAMBLING DEVICES SEIZED

On Monday September 19, 2011, the George County Sheriff’s Department and Agents from the Mississippi Gaming Commission acting on a crime tip seized approximately $3,600.00 in coins and paper currency, eleven (11) illegal gambling devices from seven (7) businesses in George County.

A first violation is a misdemeanor and upon conviction carries a fine not to exceed Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) or imprisoned not exceeding three (3) months or both.
