Drug Arrest
July 12-13, 2011
On Tuesday, July 12, 2011, agents with the George County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Division conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Tri State Road and Evanston Road in the Multi Mart Community that led to the arrest of Randy Heath Bond (44) of George County. A search of the 1997 GMC truck occupied by Bond and a white male juvenile revealed a Schedule III controlled substance Pseudoephedrine which is used to manufacture methamphetamine. Bond was transported to George County Regional Jail and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. Justice Court Judge M.L. Goff set Bond a $25,000.00 commercial bond.
On Wednesday, July 13, 2011, agents with the George County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Division conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Bexley Church Road and Central Firetower Road in the Bexley Community that led to the arrest of Grallin Ray Box (27) of Greene County. A search of the 2002 Pontiac revealed approximately two grams of crack cocaine, and twenty two grams of marijuana. Box was transported to the George County Regional Jail and charged with possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), and possession of a controlled substance (marijuana).
On Wednesday July 13, 2011, agents with the George County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Division went to a residence located at the 200 block of Shelby Rogers Rd in attempt to serve an active George County Justice Court warrant on Mary Ashley Holmes. Upon arrival agents could smell a strong chemical odor coming from an opened window of the residence. Agents conducted a search of a 1989 Ford Ranger and recovered a large coffee filter containing methamphetamine. Further investigation led to the arrest of Jason Daniel Pipkins (36), and Mary Ashley Holmes (23), both of George County, for possession of a controlled substance . Pipkins and Holmes were transported to George County Regional Jail.
These arrests were investigated by the George County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Division, Lucedale Police Department Narcotics Division and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics.
