ARRESTS MADE IN BURGLARIES
SEPTEMBER 17, 2018
The George County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division (CID) is currently investigating a string of automobile and residential burglaries that have occurred over the last several days. On Thursday, September 13, 2018, the George County Sheriff’s Office received several calls from the Rocky Creek Community of George County, MS, regarding vehicles that were burglarized overnight. Items were stolen from eight vehicles at multiple residences. Additionally, a residential burglary was reported in the Agricola Community of George County on Tuesday, September 11, 2018. During the course of the investigations, search warrants were served on the suspect’s vehicle in Rocky Creek, as well as the suspect’s residence in the Barton Community. These search warrants led to the recovery of multiple items, including weapons, electronics, and U.S. Currency reported stolen earlier in the day; drugs and drug paraphernalia; and firearm accessories. The suspect, 18-year-old Coy Mitchell White III, was arrested on six felony charges consisting of Commercial Burglaries and Residential Burglaries. Also arrested in connection with these crimes is Jerry Martinez (18), who was also charged with five counts of Commercial Burglary.
