February Drug Arrests

On Friday, February 02, 2018, Officers with the Lucedale Police Department (LPD) arrested Kelsey Dominique Hembree (21) of George County and Maygen Shamae Everett (30) of Greene County for possession of Methamphetamine during a traffic stop near the intersection of West Frontage Road and Winter Street in the City of Lucedale. LPD was assisted by the Southeast Mississippi Narcotics Task Force (SMNTF) who is investigating this case. Both Hembree and Everett were transported to the George County Regional Correctional Facility (GCRCF) and later made an initial appearance in Lucedale Municipal Court where both Hembree and Everett received a $2,500.00 commercial bond.

On Saturday, February 17, 2018, Deputies with the George County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) arrested Janie Marilyn Autrey (47) of Wilmer, Alabama, for possession of Methamphetamine during a traffic stop near the intersection of Howell Tanner Chapel Road and Highway 612 in Howell Community of George County. GCSO was assisted by the Southeast Mississippi Narcotics Task Force (SMNTF) who is investigating this case. Autrey was transported to the George County Regional Correctional Facility (GCRCF) and later made an initial appearance in George County Justice Court where Autrey received a $10,000.00 commercial bond.

On Thursday, February 22, 2018, Agents with the Southeast Mississippi Narcotics Task Force (SMNTF) and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics (MBN) arrested Lasean Maurice Bryant (46) of George County, for possession of Methamphetamine near Pecan Circle in the City of Lucedale. Bryant was transported to the George County Regional Correctional Facility (GCRCF) and later made an initial appearance in Lucedale Municipal Court where Bryant received a $25,000.00 commercial bond. Bryant was already on bond for a prior drug charge in the City of Lucedale.

On Friday, February 23, 2018, Agents with the Southeast Mississippi Narcotics Task Force (SMNTF) arrested Gregory Benitez Ludgood (36) of George County, for possession of Methamphetamine after Agents conducted a traffic stop on Quinn Drive in the City of Lucedale. Ludgood was transported to the George County Regional Correctional Facility (GCRCF) and later made an initial appearance in Lucedale Municipal Court where Ludgood received a $15,000.00 commercial bond. Ludgood was already on bond for a prior drug charge in George County.

On Saturday, February 24, 2018, Deputies with the George County Sheriff’s Office arrested Paul Alexander Cone (29) of Greene County for possession of Marijuana during a traffic stop near the intersection of Bexley Road and Howard Road in the Bexley Community of George County. GCSO was assisted by the Southeast Mississippi Narcotics Task Force (SMNTF) who is investigating this case. Cone was transported to the George County Regional Correctional Facility (GCRCF) and later made an initial appearance in George County Justice Court where Cone received a $40,000.00 commercial bond.

On Tuesday, February 27, 2018, Agents with the Southeast Mississippi Narcotics Task Force (SMNTF) and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics (MBN) arrested Kristin Brooke Martin (29) of George County, for possession of Methamphetamine at the Western Motel in the City of Lucedale. The arrest occurred after the George County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) recovered a stolen vehicle in the parking lot which led Agents to Martin’s motel room. Martin was transported to the George County Regional Correctional Facility (GCRCF) where she was held pending an initial appearance in Lucedale Municipal Court.

Sheriff Havard stated the above arrests are proof the George County Sheriff’s Office, Lucedale Police Department and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics are committed to working together through partnerships with the Southeast Mississippi Narcotics Task Force for the citizens of George County and the City of Lucedale.
