HOMICIDE SUSPECT WANTED

OCTOBER 24, 2017

On Tuesday, October 24, 2017, the George County Sheriff’s Office received a call in reference to a stabbing located in the Barton / Basin Community, in the area of Salem Campground Road. Deputies arrived on scene and found Christopher Cauley (41) of George County, deceased. After further investigative efforts, the George County Sheriff’s Office has issued a warrant for the arrest of Arron Jeffery Gill (24) of George County. Gill fled the scene in the company of Christina Len Pierce (26) of George County. Christina Pierce is wanted for questioning in reference to the homicide.

This incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information concerning this or any other crime is encouraged to contact the George County Sheriff’s Office at 601.947.4811.
