KIDNAPPING SUSPECT IN CUSTODY

GEORGE COUNTY, MS- According to George County Sheriff Keith Havard, on Thursday afternoon, June 8th, 2017, the Sheriff’s Office received a call about a woman being forced into a vehicle at L&L Quick Stop, located in the Barton community.
Deputies responding were able to locate the vehicle at a residence off of Byrd Mill Lane. Deputies viewed a man, who is identified as Joseph Jeremiah Bradley, 37, of George County, pushing a female into the woods. Deputies apprehended Bradley, and Bradley was charged with Kidnapping, Domestic Violence Simple Assault, and Resisting Arrest. The female, whose identity is not being released, was transported by ambulance to a local area hospital for treatment and was later released. Bradley was transported to the George County Regional Correctional Facility for booking and is awaiting his initial appearance. This incident remains under investigation.
