UPDATE

On Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at approximately 8:31pm the George County Sheriff’s Department responded to a single vehicle accident which occurred in the 200 block of Harmon Pope Road in the Agricola community of George County which claimed the life of William R. Overstreet (34), of Lucedale, MS.

Overstreet’s 1997 Ford Windstar was traveling southbound and left the eastern side of the roadway, colliding with a tree.  Overstreet was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the accident has not been determined and remains under investigation.
