LAW ENFORCEMENT IMPERSONATOR

The George County Sheriff’s Office and Lucedale Police Department wants to warn the public of a possible “Law Enforcement Impersonator” in George County.
On Wednesday, January 25, 2017 a George County Resident was stopped by an unmarked black vehicle, possibly an older Ford Crown Victoria with blue lights in the dash. The resident described the impersonator as a white male approximately 6’ tall, short blond hair, dressed in a black shirt and black pants. He also had a firearm and handcuffs on his person.
The George County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying this impersonator. As always, Sheriff Keith Havard is concerned for the safety of the public. With this in mind, if you believe you’re being pulled over by a Law Enforcement Impersonator, immediately dial 911, provide as much detail as possible to the Law Enforcement Dispatcher and proceed to a well-lit or populated area.
